10 Dumbest Storylines In WWE History

6. DDP Gets Dirty

One of the few major WCW stars to accept a buyout of his AOL Time Warner contract in 2001, long running WCW fan favourite Diamond Dallas Page arrived in WWF several weeks before the Invasion pay per view (that show where WWF did battle with WCW’s undercard talent).

The Undertaker and his then wife Sara had been harassed by a mystery stalker and who better to be that stalker than DDP?

Just about anyone actually.

Throwing his babyface persona in the bin, DDP was transformed into an inept creep frequently pulverised by The Deadman and even defeated by his non wrestler wife on RAW. For months on end, 'Taker buried DDP on all fronts, from pretending to not know who he was to totally jabronifying him bell to bell.

2001 is often regarded as a career worst year for Big Evil and no one felt the damage quite like DDP, whose star aura and popularity died harder than The Undertaker’s frequent murders at the hands of other wrestlers.

On top of the counter productive nature of the angle, the worst part of it all is it was simply not entertaining TV and a good example of why WWF’s Invasion angle (which should’ve been one of the biggest angles in wrestling history) flopped so hard.
