10 Dumbest Things That Happened At WrestleMania 31
10. Two-Hour Pre Show
Traditionally, WrestleMania is a huge event not just in terms of size and scope, but in terms of how long the event itself actually runs. With pay-per-views and now Monday Night Raw clocking in at three hours long, WrestleMania has become a four hour spectacle that at times can feel like an endurance test. This year, WrestleMania got even longer as they stretched out the usual pre-show to two hours long, mostly dedicated to recapping the events that led to the nights matches and showing footage from WrestleMania week in San Jose. There were also two matches on WrestleMania Kickoff, the WWE Tag Team Championship match and the Andre The Giant Battle Royal, meaning that in order to watch the full WrestleMania experience, it would take up six hours of the day. Six hours might not seem like a lot for an event as grand as WrestleMania, but consider that six hours is one quarter of a day. WrestleMania is always the event that draws the most eyes, and brings in the casual and new viewers, and turning into a six hour spectacle could be incredibly off-putting for someone who only kind of likes wrestling to begin with.
