3. Rusev Losing To John Cena
When Rusev debuted as an unstoppable foreign monster, anyone that has watched wrestling could see that the eventual endpoint was a collision with WWEs #1 guy, John Cena. All roads lead to Cena eventually, and one of the biggest sticking points with his detractors is the way that new, interesting characters are brought up, fed to Cena, and then struggle to find their place on the card after that feud. When it came to the John Cena v Rusev feud, it was in desperate need for anything interesting to happen as a change to the usual John Cena overcomes the odds schtick that has been WWEs go-to for the past twelve years. In the end, John Cena beat the undefeated Rusev with an Attitude Adjustment, a victory he did not need, but one that could have made Rusevs career had the Bulgarian Brute left the victor. Maybe its the fault of the audience, who after Brock Lesnars performance at last years WrestleMania and SummerSlam, believed that anything could truly happen within the WWE. John Cena losing decisively this year could have been the Undertaker losing of 2015, but instead it just made Rusev another name on the all-too long list of Cenas sacrificial lambs.
