This scenario is dependent upon Lesnar losing the Universal Title between now and the Royal Rumble. How feasible is that?

Lesnar is scheduled to defend it against Braun Strowman at No Mercy in what promises to be something closer to a superhero flick final fight than a pro wrestling match. Rumour has it that Strowman will be re-domiciled in Suplex City, given that the 'Mania 34 main event plan remains Lesnar Vs. Roman Reigns.

Should Lesnar drop the title prior to the Rumble, the titular match is a major platform on which to rebuild him. Nobody has kayfabe dominated WWE like Lesnar has. He ended the Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak. He German suplexed John Cena into the core of the earth months later at SummerSlam 2014. Meanwhile, Vince McMahon remains adamant that Roman Reigns is The Man. His grand idea to convince the fans of that is for the Big Dog to overcome the biggest storyline threat in history.

Is it beyond the realms of possibility to expect Lesnar, as a means of achieving that end, to start the Rumble in the #1 slot, and German his way through the entire field in the longest squash match of all time?
