The Sasha Banks vs. Charlote feud has been bubbling for months, and on this weeks Raw, things finally reached boiling point. Having recruited her former NXT rival Bayley to handle Charlotte and Dana Brooke at Battleground, Sasha was finally granted her long-awaited title shot on Monday night. She passed the test with flying colours, and when Charlotte tapped-out, The Boss became the new WWE Women's Champion.

It’s been a long time coming. While Sasha has always featured prominently when healthy, she missed a big chunk of the year after suffering an ambiguous post-WrestleMania 32 injury. Charlotte, meanwhile, had established her complete and utter dominance over the Women’s Division after handily defeating Natalya on consecutive PPVs, and looked close to running out of challengers until The Boss’s June return.

Charlotte and Banks have continued locking horns ever since, with the champion seemingly doing everything in her power to avoid facing Sasha one on one. The tag team match was the final hurdle, an when Raw came around, Charlotte could avoid her no longer.

Sasha can do no wrong at the moment. Her crowd reactions are regularly among the loudest of the night, and in Charlotte, she has the perfect antagonist. The Boss might have taken her championship, but it'll take a long, successful reign for her to come close to match Charlotte's time on-top. Look for the two to collide again at SummerSlam, and for Banks to cement her position at the very top of the division.
