10 Early Wrestling Predictions For 2022
8. AEW Run A Stadium Show In The UK
British wrestling fans are slowly counting down the days until something like this happens.
If it wasn't for the pandemic, AEW would have already held some UK shows by now as Fyter Fest 2020 was originally supposed to be held in London. However, that didn't come to pass.
Perhaps AEW should even think bigger when announcing their expansion. Considering that AEW has yet to hold any major events within the UK, fans will be chomping at the bit to get tickets for at least one event. So why not put all those eggs into one basket? Run a stadium show.
While Craven's Cottage doesn't have the kind of capacity that a Wembley or Old Trafford, it does offer the opportunity for branding and promotion. Tony Khan could easily come up with some promotional material for the show along the lines of "Homecoming" as he does own Fulham, the football team that plays at the stadium.
This would be a great way for AEW to get a foothold in the British scene - and just imagine if it kickstarted a UK tour!
