10 Early WWE Hell In A Cell 2016 Predictions
7. A Cruiserweight Scramble
Raw’s Cruiserweight Division is finally taking shape, and while they’ve made a stuttering start, TJ Perkins and Brian Kendrick have emerged as the scene’s leading lights. They’re set to rematch for the Cruiserweight Championship on next week’s Raw, and if their Clash match is anything to go by, fans are in for a treat.
There are a number of potential contenders that WWE could build-up following the match. Cedric Alexander is the most WWE-ready performer of all, an exciting athlete, and a guy clearly relishing his moment in the spotlight, while Gran Metalik, Rich Swann, and the still-to-debut Jack Gallagher are just as capable of becoming stars.
At this point, it might make the most sense to pit multiple competitors against each other in a Fatal 4-Way. WWE need to feature as many of these wrestlers as possible to start getting them over, and what better way to do that than by taking four of the division’s most exciting wrestlers, loosening the reins, and unleashing them on PPV?
Who’ll walk out with the belt? Much depends on the Perkins/Kendrick rematch, but TJP is an excellent figurehead for the division at the moment. Regardless of the competition, look for him to hold onto his strap for a while longer.
