10 Early WWE SummerSlam 2018 Predictions

8. Raw Women's Title - Nia Jax Vs. Ember Moon

As heartening as WWE's attempt to present Nia Jax as an inspiration to young women has been, they've only gone and dampened spirits with that contrived promo after her win over Alexa Bliss at Backlash. Stifling Nia's uplifting character with forced dialogue is not the way to go, but try telling WWE that.

By the time SummerSlam rolls around, expect to have seen a lot more of this from Nia. If that's the case, fans will probably turn on her and seek something different in the Raw Women's Title hot seat. That may well be a good sign for Ember Moon.

Moon only recently debuted on Raw and hasn't been saddled with out-of-touch booking yet. Though it's too early to tell if she'll be a raging success on the main roster, her NXT simplicity has remained relatively untouched. Provided that continues, she'll be in the title picture come SummerSlam.

As cracks begin to appear in Nia's goody-two-shoes characterisation, Moon's natural likability should come to the fore. Then, WWE will have an organic tale of jealousy (from Jax) on their hands, can transition her back to a more comfortable heel role and give Ember a boost in the process.
