10 Early WWE SummerSlam 2018 Predictions

4. Dean Ambrose Vs. Roman Reigns

Initial reports speculated that Dean Ambrose would be shelved for up to nine months by the triceps injury he suffered last December. As it's not uncommon for pro wrestlers to return earlier-than-expected, he might play a part in SummerSlam. If so, there are worse spots for him than against Roman Reigns.

Reigns has been shown up by the wildly popular of Seth Rollins anyway, and it's not like WWE can squeeze another Universal Title match out of his feud with Brock Lesnar. Therefore, dropping Roman down a notch on the card would be the best bet.

Ambrose could blame Reigns for ruining last summer's Shield reunion by arrogantly believing himself to be above it, and that's something fans would easily buy into. Technically (in WWE's mind), Dean would be the heel here, although it's very difficult to see him getting booed for beating up Reigns.

This is perhaps the only way Roman can get on the card without encroaching on someone else's Universal Title opportunity.
