10 Early WWE Survivor Series 2017 Card Predictions
7. United States Title: AJ Styles (c) Vs. Bobby Roode
Bobby Roode's first SmackDown appearance was extremely well received this week, and there's no reason to believe he won't become a major player on the brand. In fact, Dave Meltzer recently reported that WWE see 'The Glorious One' as a potential "top five guy" on the main roster. The company love him, and barring a major disaster, we're about to see Roode hot-shotted to the top.
This would normally mean a WWE Championship program, but that scene looks a little crowded at the moment. Instead, WWE could insert Bobby into a feud with current United States Champion AJ Styles, who has helped restore a great deal of credibility to the once lowly midcard belt lately.
Roode worked babyface on SmackDown, but it shouldn't take much to switch his alignment. He'll always have a big following, but he's a natural bad guy, and would make a great foil for 'The Phenomenal One.' Their shared history should guarantee good chemistry too: Roode and Styles wrestled each other countless times in TNA, including a particularly outstanding singles match back on a May 2012 episode of Impact.
They're a bit older now, but their showmanship is better than ever. This match would rule.
