If any fans have had the pleasure of meeting Lex Luger at an autograph signing event today, it's worth pointing out that he's a much different man to the hulking beast who would have arrogantly walked by adoring supporters in the late-80's and early-90's. Never a fan of wrestling until he entered the business, Luger admits he used to pretty much love himself.

It's refreshing to hear a multi-time World Champion and huge name in the history of the industry be so candid about their stinking attitude during their prime. That's exactly what Lex is, because he reasons that he was insufferable during the prime years of his lengthy in-ring career. Believing himself to be the best thing around, Luger acted like that around everyone, loving the attention.

Of course, right before the end of his active, full-time career, Luger was part of the sinking WCW ship, but that didn't stop him from throwing his weight around. There's more than one account of Lex refusing to job to younger talent during 2000-2001, and acting arrogantly to staff.
