10 Embarrassing Matches Wrestling Stars Want You To Forget

5. Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. Scott Hall - WWF WrestleMania X8

A thoroughly miserable Steve Austin worked a deeply troubled Scott Hall in a sh*te match on the very same show on which the Rock went along with the plan meant for Austin - the big Hulk Hogan dream match he had said "f*ck that" to - and created magic from potential political sabotage.

It was a bad time and a bad night. It was the very antithesis to the feel-good big time atmosphere of Icon Vs. Icon; it was a depressing relegation nobody was particularly interested in relative to it.

Hall was so gassed and uninterested that he blew up missing the stairs by inches when Austin "slammed" his head against them. He sold chops, flailing, like they were comedy spots, unable to muster the energy nor focus to do much else. The action was so flat and listless in contrast to the incandescent fire with which Austin tore off the roof even just a year prior. It was just a lot of clunky and rushed brawling worked as if everybody involved could not wait to get themselves away from the ring.

On the star ratings scale, it was down there. Down where?

Down there.
