A dream match...

...for an Attitude Era diehard that went into a coma 21 years prior to when it was held, most reasonable fans knew what to expect: an embarrassment only made possible by rank wealth and greed. The match graphic was inexplicable, but it in the worst way. This wasn't a twilight years 'Mania match fuelled by nostalgia, smoke and mirrors. The Undertaker and Goldberg weren’t so much coaxed out of retirement as they were dug up.

After a hot enough start, an exchange of big bombs received in full voice by a Saudi crowd that knew of and cared about the legends, Goldberg did his usual, ill-advised spot in which he missed a spear and ran full-force into the ring post. He split his head open and suffered a troubling wobble. Unable to hold the Undertaker up for the Jackhammer, he accidentally created the most disgusting '90s AJPW super-finisher out and dropped him flush on his skull.

This was after Goldberg worked minutes, plural, of the match like a zombie, staggering around cutting a sight as pitiful as it was dread-inducing.

He could barely get up for the Chokeslam finish, and was unable also to leave the ring under his own power.
