10 Embarrassing Times Wrestlers Tried To Be Funny

1. Tonight, The Role Of The Rock Will Be Played By Seth Rollins

WWE

When you are the Face of WWE (TM), it is imperative that you do not under any circumstances do anything that might get you over as a credible babyface.

You have to be tight with the production truck and a graphic designer in order to create amusing visual gags on the titan tron. You have to play a master of ceremonies and introduce everybody to the show, as if the fact that it has started isn't made clear by the opening credits. You have to play the role of Michael Cole by recapping the events of last week's show, which is suboptimal. It is difficult to get over as a babyface when you are telling people that they are stupid.

"Remember this, sh*t for brains? Of course not. Hold my hand, chew your food thoroughly, and let's get down to it!"

You also have to own the room and run through stand-up routines, much like Seth Rollins did when setting up a match with Brock Lesnar in 2019.

"He's a real Godzilla-looking bastard if ya ask me," Seth said, dreaming of selling GLB 3:16 Says I'm Not Owned, I'm Not Owned' t-shirts and becoming the next megastar babyface.

Yes, this also featured on 10 Embarrassing Times Wrestlers Tried To Be Cool. Yes, it does bear repeating: Seth Rollins is neither, and he should play heel for the rest of his life.
