10 Emotional WWE Moments That Made Fans Cry

6. Ric Flair's Retirement Ceremony On Raw

You just had to know that Ric Flair's "farewell" would be something special, but it was so much bigger and more memorable than anyone could have pictured it to be. What started with Ric Flair delivering a farewell speech that was surprisingly lacking in sad emotions ended with The Undertaker and Vince McMahon both breaking kayfabe, and wrestlers from Flair's past and present coming out to surprise him and congratulate him.

It was a post-WrestleMania episode of Raw, so we have come to expect WWE taking things easy, for the most part. There isn't a whole lot of storyline advancement on those episodes, and often, you'll see top superstars getting the night off entirely. This certainly didn't advance any storylines, outside of Flair having to retire, so he did, but it remains memorable. Eyes were watering all over the world as we watched Flair cry and share memories with some of his greatest friends, tag partners, and opponents such as Arn Anderson, Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat, Triple H, among others. When Taker actually came out, saluted Flair, and hugged him, you knew how big the moment was. That man rarely ever breaks kayfabe while in the "Deadman" character, but he did just that for Ric Flair.

It really was the perfect end to a memorable weekend for Ric Flair and WWE, even though he would go on to wrestle in over a dozen matches (for TNA and for Hulk Hogan's Hulkamania shows in Australia in 2009) after "retiring", which did take a bit away from this entire thing.
