10 Emotional WWE Moments That Made Fans Cry

3. Chris Benoit Openly Weeping At The Eddie Guerrero Tribute Show

Obviously, it was sad enough that Eddie Guerrero, one of the best wrestlers to ever live, passed away. It was sad enough that Guerrero was rumoured to be on the verge of winning the World Title again when he passed away. It was sad enough that he passed away after he seemed to have put his demons in his past and moved forward in his life. However, on the Eddie Guerrero tribute episode of Raw on the night after his death, when the world tuned in and saw Chris Benoit openly weeping and being unable to contain himself, things truly began to sink in.

As wrestling fans, we often see pro wrestlers are cartoonish, larger-than-life characters, and not as human beings. When moments like this happen, you see the human side of them. The WWE roster was in mourning. They had just lost a friend, a colleague, a brother, an uncle, a mentor... and, by all accounts, one of the best people you'll ever want to meet.

Benoit had traveled the world with Guerrero, so much so that Benoit referred to them as "road wives" with how much they had to take care of each other and nag about everything. Nobody could blame him for allowing his emotions to pour out, because we were doing the same thing as we watched along, and we didn't even know the guy on a personal level.
