10 Epic Moments The Undertaker Broke Character In WWE

8. Stiffing WCW Guys

When the WWF absorbed the WCW roster in 2001, it sure looked like The Undertaker was still resentful of old wounds. He'd been a WWF mainstay for the entirety of the Monday Night Wars, suffering through 1995 to 1997 when the WWF's continued existence was in question. Perhaps that's why in 2001 he embarked on a reign of terror against WCW. He was squashing their guys at every opportunity, notably Diamond Dallas Page who he made a jobber out of in awful matches. Then came the match where he teamed with Kane against Brian Adams and Bryan Clark. The Unforgiven 2001 bout was memorable for Taker stiffing both guys and then complaining to management afterwards that the pair were poor performers. When he was out there in the ring throwing legit blows, that was a break of kayfabe. It wasn't The Undertaker battling WCW, it was Mark Calaway squashing WCW. Creatively, politically and physically, The Undertaker was a one man WCW wrecking crew.
