The fans in Philadelphia rewarded the work of all involved with a thunderous ovation, understanding that they had just witnessed a match of historic consequences. When ECW tried to replicate the classic years later at the Hardcore Heaven 1997 pay-per-view, it was realized fairly quickly just how important the moment and youth of all involved truly was to the original.
