In some unfortunate news, recent AEW signee Jake Doyle - the former Jake Something - appears to have suffered a significant injury on last night's Dynamite broadcast.

Dynamite saw Doyle and Mark Davis come up short against FTR for the AEW Tag Team Titles, largely thanks to Jon Moxley hitting Davis with the Continental Championship, which in turn allowed FTR to hit Davis with the Shatter Machine for the win. However, the bigger story was a potential bicep tear for Jake Doyle.

Midway through the match, Doyle appeared to suffer an injury when Cash Wheeler hit him with a DDT on the ring apron.

As seen in this clip on X from user @AIRGold_, Jake seems to tell Wheeler "I just tore my bicep" after taking that DDT.

The Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez has since confirmed the Jake Doyle injury, and it now remains to be seen just how long the former TNA man will be out of action. If this is a torn bicep, that sort of injury tends to typically have a recovery time of three to six months.

For Jake, he only joined AEW a matter of weeks ago, being introduced as the latest member of the Don Callis Family, and expanding the current line-up of the Callis Family to 15, if you include Callis himself.
