Lauded as innovative, death-defying and spectacular, the original TLC between the Hardys, Dudleys, and Edge & Christian at SummerSlam 2000 is as iconic as it is memorable - their rematch at WrestleMania X-Seven perhaps even more so. Sadly, the third TLC instalment is nowhere near as well remembered, despite being just as awesome.

The addition of tag champs Jericho and Benoit, to the original trio of teams was booking brilliance and made for a drool-worthy match-up. As if it wasn't insane enough to have this match on free TV, the WWF didn't even promote the bout; Vince McMahon merely came out at the start of the show and announced that the main event would be a TLC war.

Coincidentally, TLC 3 took place in the Arrowhead Pond, the very site of the tables match for WWF Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 2000 - the match that is commonly cited as giving birth to the TLC concept.

TLC 3 has since become a footnote in WWE history and is often referred to as "The Lost TLC"; however, the match received 4.75 stars from Dave Meltzer and is widely considered one of the best matches in SmackDown history. If you're a fan of any of these teams, the TLC concept or early 2000s wrestling in general, this match is essential viewing.
