10 Ex-WWE Superstars With Unfinished Business
7. John Morrison
What Happened: One of the most gifted and unique athletes to emerge during the wake of the Ruthless Aggression era, Morrison established himself as one of the most exciting wrestlers in the company. While accusations that he couldn't cut it on the mic often hindred his progress, he was electric in the ring and produced five star matches with the likes of Rey Mysterio, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus and CM Punk amongst others.
He parted amicably with WWE in 2011, and while he initially hinted he may be taking a long sabbatical from the squared circle, he's been on the indie circuit since, including his current and excellent stint with Lucha Underground.
How To Book It: Frustrated with his terrible booking over the past three ye-sorry, with a perceived lack of athletic competition (KAYFABE!!!), a heel Dolph Ziggler goes on a run of ludicrously OTT, show-offy squashes of WWE midcarders, getting on the mic before and after every match to hate on fan favourites and b*tch on how lame the locker room is.
He wants competition, damn it! No one can steal the show like him! You can probably guess what happens next: out comes Johnny Nitro (who, it should be pointed out, is great on the mic these days) and in come three months of wrestling masterclasses. Easy.
