What Happened: In what universe is there no room in WWE for a man who has given so much to that company? Oh, that's right, the WWE Universe! After making a few sporadic appearances over the previous three or four years, Jim's incredible WWE career came to a firm conclusion following a bizarre incident that saw Ross fail to control a seemingly drunk Ric Flair (and a very amused Steve Austin) at a launch event for the WWE 2K14 game in September 2013.
Ross has since indicated that he is open to any work that may be available, though he is effectively done with being on the road in a 24/7 capacity. Which is fair enough, as the dude's 63.
How To Book A Return: No big storyline needed: as his podcast shows, Jim still has one of the sharpest minds in the business and is an invaluable addition to any wrestling organisation. His experience as Head Of Talent Relations means he could be an extremely useful addition to WWE's backstage staff, be that in Connecticut, NXT or even remotely. Just bring the guy home, already. It's ridiculous.
