Muhammad Hassan's once-promising wrestling career came to an abrupt halt in July 2005 when his character, an Arab-American who railed against the fans' supposed post-9/11 prejudice, began to attract some unwanted media attention.

It was poor timing, more than anything else, in that it coincided with a real-life terrorist attack in London - which led to the network putting pressure on WWE to pull the character from its show. With no choice but to oblige, Hassan was taken off television, never to return again.

And that was pretty much that for the man who was once giving The Undertaker the run-around on SmackDown. Hassan retired from wrestling later that year after his release, aged 24, and we haven't heard a peep from him since.
