Unless John Cena spoils the party, there's a chance AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura will happen at WrestleMania 34. WWE could have given AJ his big WWE Title match at 'Mania one year before now had they not been so keen to push John Cena's quest to match Ric Flair's 16-time World Championship record instead.

Cena had done an admirable job of making Styles look like the man at SummerSlam just over five months prior to the 2017 Royal Rumble. By beating such an established WWE warhorse cleanly, AJ lived up to his "Phenomenal" billing and cemented his status as a company headliner to trust.

Then, AJ was booked to return the favour at the Rumble and watch as his WrestleMania status plummeted from exciting WWE Title showdown to relatively drab opening match fodder with Shane McMahon.

If WWE insert Cena into AJ's business yet again before 'Mania (which looks like happening), they can expect the same outcry from fans online. People were far from happy that Cena, 16th title celebrations or not, had interrupted one of the best title reigns in years.
