10 Facts To Silence The Roman Reigns Critics

1. You'll Have To Get Used To Him

Otherwise, you're watching the wrong company.

Roman Reigns isn't going anyway. The company has invested in him far too much to kowtow to the naysayers - and this is a company which would rather spite itself than do that, even when it seems to make sense. Look at his legacy. He has headlined the last three WrestleMania shows. He is Mr. Royal Rumble. They are even calling him The Guy on television. Reigns is the company's top full-time star - and really, as McMahon pet projects go, he is an exponential improvement on so many of his dud antecedents. This is far, far from the worst of times.

"Look and listen," John Cena suggested in that controversial RAW segment. "[The crowd] hold the keys, they always have, they always will." For an apparent shoot-style promo, that was as unrealistic a statement as you'll hear on WWE TV this year. WWE isn't and never has been a meritocracy. Everything you see on WWE TV is shaped by Vince's vision. There are ways to dissent Roman Reigns; adding to his aura is possibly the worst way of going about it. The only way to protest WWE is to boycott it. There are other companies - several - aligned with the pulse of the audience.

By p*ssing and moaning, you're p*ssing into the wind.
