10 Famous Wrestlers No One Liked Working With

7. Austin Aries

The plant-powered Covid-skeptic had all the tools: supreme athletic prowess, great technical ability, charisma, popularity. Sadly, he lacked the ability to play nice with his colleagues, prompting a massive professional downturn for the ROH trailblazer in recent years. There's been a smorgasbord of examples regarding Aries' attitude problems going back to his runs in TNA. When announcer Christy Hemme got his and Roode's tag team name wrong, Aries decided the best course of action was to push his crotch up against her face in the corner. In the doghouse, Aries eventually left and later signed with WWE where he was greeted with plentiful fanfare.

His sterling colour commentary work for 205 Live continued to win over crowds with a budding Neville feud receiving a positive reception. Disappointingly dumped from the main card of WrestleMania 33, the Aries vs Neville feud fizzled out with A Double leaving after a third straight loss to the Man That Gravity Forgot. Aries later confessed to constant disputes with the creative team.

Most disappointing of all was Aries' initially awesome return to Impact Wrestling. Bagging the World title and feuding with the likes of Eli Drake and Pentágon Jr./Dark/ El 0 Miedo etc. Aries was more over than ever, until the prospect of losing the title to Johnny Impact arrived. No-selling the finish and flipping everyone the bird, a furious Aries stormed off during Impact's celebration and has tumbled into smaller and smaller indie obscurity ever since.

Bar sporadic appearances for MLW (the booker of which seems to be a master at dealing with hot-tempered workers), Aries is seldom heard from these days and it's unlikely any major promotion will want him back.
