Most wrestling conspiracy theories can be dismissed off hand, but this one seems to have at least something to it (albeit something that has probably been greatly exaggerated by the fans).

When you look at the WWE careers enjoyed (or, rather, endured) by the stars who made their name in WCW - Booker T, Goldberg, Scott Steiner, Diamond Dallas Page - you can't help but feel that the idea of one of Ted Turner's guys making a splash in the big leagues just didn't sit well with someone backstage.

Of course, there are mitigating circumstances too. Both DDP and Steiner were in their 40s when they finally signed for Vince McMahon - the latter not exactly in the best shape of his career either - whilst Goldberg left of his own accord after a year (and did come back last year for a solid run anyway).

The one that really stands out is Booker T, for whom there isn't really a logical explanation other than that he just didn't possess whatever it was early 2000s WWE was looking for in a new leading man.
