CM Punk fans might want to look away right now. The most famous match in his (now over) career can't be excused from this list - as it just plain sucked. The storyline surrounding the match was absolute wrestling perfection, there's no doubting that. And the ending was completely out of left-field, with nobody really expecting Punk to get the win and leave the arena with the WWE Championship. But this isn't about the storyline, it's about the match itself. And it was a really poor experience for those watching it, with everyone probably getting more caught up in the "Will CM Punk leave?" story, rather than focusing on the actual action taking place inside the ring. The athletic ability between both guys just wasn't there, and the chemistry just didn't seem to be right. It should have been at a much higher level than what it was, given the significance of the storyline. Without towing a regular party line, Cena has to take a fair bit of flak for his role in the match - he was clumpy and pretty scratchy all the way through. Nobody can question that everything that happened before and after this match was astonishing to watch. It's perhaps the finest angle of this century so far, and everyone involved has to take credit for that. But that night, the wrestling match that took place just didn't cut it.
