10 Fan Favorite Wrestlers Who Will Never Get Their Big Breakout Match
8. Chad Gable
It remains eternally baffling that Jason Jordan was chosen for the Kurt Angle long-lost son earnest babyface Johnny Quest angle instead of Chad Gable, given Gable's abilities and delivery. He's a powerhouse with comedic chops and the timing to be another wrestling machine, one that follows the Angle formula and goes from goofball with chops to an Olympic-grade killer.
As an unfortunate side effect of WWE's ham-fisted soap opera storytelling, the odds of Gable being a significant player (significant in the mid-card, away) are tragically low. Unless Jordan is eventually repackaged with Gable AND Vince suddenly regains interest in tag team wrestling again.
Tide yourself over with: his American Alpha work against The Revival in NXT, as well as a pair of solid matches on Smackdown against Kevin Owens and AJ Styles.
