10 Fantasy Wrestling Matches That Never Happened

4. Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle - Two Out Of Three Falls

Kurt Angle Bret Hart Speaking of technical wrestlers, probably the only two who could rival Chris Benoit and Daniel Bryan are Bret Hart and Kurt Angle. Both were former amateur stars who turned their attention to the world of professional wrestling and became bigger stars than almost anyone in the business. Bret was probably the most dependable WWF champion of the modern era, defending the title on nearly every show against all different types of wrestlers. At one point, Hart was one of (if not the) best workers in the world and performed just as hard on Raw as he did at a pay-per-view. His legendary rivalries with Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin made the WWF the juggernaut it became and helped turn the Monday Night War around. While never the most charismatic worker in the world, Hart could bring it in the ring better than anyone and could show a mean streak when the situation called for it. Kurt Angle, quite simply, is a freak. The 1996 Olympic gold medalist from Pittsburgh joined the World Wrestling Federation due to a lack of other athletic opportunities and became instantly one of the promotion's biggest stars. Angle picked up professional wrestling faster than anyone else and became world champion only a year after his debut in the company. Angle rose through the ranks to main event Wrestlemania XIX and still, at over 40 years old, is one of the best workers in the world when he's healthy. A match between these two would be a technical marvel and really showcase both men's athletic talents. A two out of three falls match would allow each to use their submission moves, their psychology, and their big spots to work the crowd and move to a third and deciding fall with the crowd firmly in the palm of their hands. At their peak, no one could touch Hart and Angle in the ring and this would be a five-star classic.
