10 Fantasy WWE Matches That Took Place On Free TV
1. The Rock & Stone Cold Vs. The New World Order (Raw, 2002)
Most fans have the fact that Stone Cold never fought Hulk Hogan right at the top of their list of wrestling regrets. It's basically a toss-up between that and the time that Triple H simulated a sex act with the mannequin of a dead woman for the number one spot.
But they needn't be too sad, because we did get this instead: a two-on-three handicap match featuring both the Texas Rattlesnake and the Hulkster on the pre-WrestleMania X8 episode of Raw in March 2002. It even featured The Rock as well.
Now granted, this wasn't exactly the in-ring spectacle it might otherwise have been. The three New World Order members, having each spent the 12 months since the collapse of WCW sitting around on the sofa, weren't exactly in tip-top physical condition.
But still, it was kind of cool seeing the three biggest money-makers in the history of the wrestling business sharing the same ring. That's only happened on a couple of other occasions, and one of them involved Hogan forgetting the name of the stadium that he was in.
