Jacob Fatu was a standout in Major League Wrestling, where he teamed up with Simon Gotch and Daivari as part of the heel faction known as Contra Unit.

Formed in 2019, the stable quickly became one of the most dominant and feared groups in MLW. The alliance began when Jacob Fatu and Josef Samael, formerly known as The Almighty Sheik, joined forces with Simon Gotch by attacking Ace Romero at SuperFight. This marked the official debut of Contra Unit, who called themselves the global merchants of violence. Catchy.

Daivari joined the faction later, which culminated in Jacob Fatu, the star of the group, picking up the MLW World Heavyweight Championship from former-UFC fight and one-time AEW wrestler Tom Lawlor. Fatu held the strap for 819 days, including then MLW closed its doors during the COVID-19 pandemic, before losing it to Alexander Hammerstone.

Let's not forget that Jacob was still in his 20s when MLW gave him their biggest prize and let him carry the company during one of its most turbulent periods; the man has been highly rated for a long time! 

Fatu eventually left the Cobra Unit, a stable that still exists to this day, before jumping to New Japan Pro Wrestler at the start of 2024, then leaping to WWE a few months later.
