Triple H is a 14-time World Champion, a future WWE Hall of Famer, NXT's head honcho, and Vince McMahon's heir apparent. The idea that he'd be jealous of anyone, let alone a lowly midcarder best known for hanging out with former underwear model Sylvain Grenier in the mid-oughts, sounds ridiculous, but this story paints 'The Game' greener than an envious Grinch.

According to René Duprée on a 2016 podcast appearance, the French-Canadian was asked to pay the company seamstresses a visit early in his career, as WWE wanted to revamp his look with a fresh new outfit. They took his measurements, and that's when things went south. According to the former La Résistance man, the outfitters were aghast when they found out his chest and biceps were bigger than Hunter's, and, as per an official company directive, they marked them down a couple of inches so that 'The Game' wouldn't be outdone.

The story should be taken with a pinch of cynicism, but Duprée's trainer, Rip Rogers, has since backed him up, claiming that this practice was the norm with Triple H, whose fragile ego apparently knew no bounds.
