And now to talk about the *other* half of WON's four highest-rated pro-wrestling matches: Kenny Omega.

Omega holds the unique distinction of wrestling more 5-star matches in one calendar year than any other wrestler by far, with nine such matches in 2018. Yes, you read that correctly - of the twenty-one 5-star matches in 2018, Kenny Omega was part of NINE of them. This means that he wrestled in roughly 43% of that year's record-setting number of 5-star matches, which is absolutely insane.

Unfortunately, however, Omega's 2019 was nowhere near as successful as his 2018 was, as he only wrestled one 5-star match all year - a 5.75-star barn burner with Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 13 in January. Since that final match in New Japan, AEW seems to have clipped Omega's one wing off, as he hasn't wrestled a single 5-star match in the promotion and has been on the losing end of the majority of his PPV bouts.

Thankfully, despite his shoddy booking thus far, AEW still has a lot of time to turn things around. Let's just hope that they do.
