Triple H kicked off TakeOver: London and welcomed everyone to the show despite taking a kicking from Roman Reigns at TLC mere days earlier. This was defo a case of WWE's left hand not talking to the right. Either that or Hunter didn't see the big issue with him no-selling one of the biggest angles in the company.

Weird.

The Wrestling Observer reported that Trips' actions had some folks backstage questioning whether or not his TakeOver cameo was necessary. Worse, Reigns had taped a promo for SmackDown on Tuesday (the episode aired on the Thursday) claiming nobody had seen or heard from Triple H since TLC. That looked daft, because he’d already shown up at NXT in the UK when the speech hit TV.

There is a chance that Vince didn't think NXT would draw enough eyeballs to make this a problem, but...that's also counterproductive. Why acknowledge that a product you're promoting isn't important enough to go along with the story established on Raw and SmackDown?

Again, what an odd decision from all concerned.
