10 Fascinating WWE Backstage Facts About Bray Wyatt
3. He Didn't Start Out As A Promo Guy
When one thinks of Bray Wyatt the wrestler, the first thing that likely pops into the mind are his captivating promos. Whenever Wyatt had a mic in his hand, he simply exuded a charisma and intensity that captivated his audience, even when you didn't agree with (or, on occasion, understand) what he was saying.
As such, it's easy to imagine that Bray was a naturally gifted orator. But, while reminiscing of his fallen friend, Drew McIntyre Claymored the idea that Bray's skill with the mic was god-given.
As reported by Comic Book, Drew McIntyre recalled that in Wyatt's FCW days he was paired with another wrestler named Vic Adams, and their gimmick was that they ran a detective agency. Unsurprisingly, the wrestling detectives failed to make waves, and not just because of the stupidity behind the premise. McIntyre recalls that the pair were brutally bad on the mic, to the point that when they signed off promos saying their agency was "back in business", McIntyre would joke that they should never have started the business in the first place.
It's important to note that McIntyre isn't making fun of Bray with this story. Instead, he's reminiscing about how he and Wyatt both worked hard to improve themselves and earn the success they achieved later in life. Drew remembers Bray as "...the friendliest guy in the world. An amazing gem and such a brother", and is clearly proud of what his friend achieved in life both in and out of the business.
