Once The Rock started achieving success, he used his money to buy a fancy new Rolex. Unfortunately, this watch didn't last long as it was quickly broken. Johnson revealed during an interview with Oprah that he wore the item to the ring for an interview, which would end up turning into a scrap with other wrestlers.
He stated that the watch fell off his wrist, and he saw it get trampled by another man in the ring. This was apparently incredibly embarrassing for him, and he desperately tried to get at it without breaking character. Sadly, there was no saving his expensive new toy.
Thankfully, Johnson claimed it taught him a valuable lesson about what he needs in life and what his money should go towards. He said he's never bought anything else like that since the incident.
