Most people already know that Kane made his WWE television debut as Jerry Lawler’s evil dentist, Isaac Yankem, but he played a number of other personas before eventually pulling-on his famous black and red mask. When the Yankem gimmick failed, Jacobs was briefly repackaged as Fake Diesel in one of the most maligned WWE storylines of all-time - but dive deeper into his past, and you’ll find some even stranger stuff.

Kane’s wrestling career began in 1992. Competing for CSWA, a childhood friend’s promotion, he worked exclusively as Angus King, before moving south and working as Doomsday. Things took an odd turn from there, however, as Jacobs became The Christmas Creature in USWA. Decked-out in a hideous green bodysuit with candy cane arms and tinsel all over the place, the Creature was the first sign of the weirdness that would await Kane later in his career.

He wrestled a single WCW match as Bruiser Mastino in 1993, and became Mike Unabomb shortly afterwards. He and Al Snow actually became Smokey Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Champions by defeating the legendary Rock ‘N Roll Express during this time, and the Unabomb gimmick survived through Kane’s first few WWE dark matches in 1995.
