The tricky part of having an eight-man tournament on a three-hour pay-per-view, to go along with other matches that may or may not be for championships, is that you may be sacrificing length in order to squeeze everything in. Of the ten King of the Ring pay-per-views, only five of them have gone to the trouble of running the whole eight-man tournament in a night (the others ran just the final four).

The 1994 King of the Ring is one of only two tournaments (the other being the 2000 edition) where none of the tournament bouts cleared the ten-minute mark. In fact, there were three non-tournament matches, and they were all longer than each of the seven tournament bouts.

The longest tournament match was a decent first-rounder in which Razor Ramon defeated Bam Bam Bigelow in 8:24. Owen Hart's semi-final win over the 123 Kid ran only 3:37, shortest match of the night, but if you've seen it, you know that it virtually stole the show.
