3. Gorilla Monsoon Began Openly Ignoring Art Donovan
Ahh, the stuff that this pay-per-view is most (in)famous for. As noted earlier, Donovan pretty much made David Otunga look like Jesse Ventura with his clueless input and frequent interrogatives ("How much does dis guy weigh?!"). It was cute at first, amusing in the same way that watching your drunken buddy puke all over himself is funny, but it got old in a hurry.
By the time the event was half over, Monsoon simply began ignoring Donovan's interjections. With the camera at one point trained on the announce team, Monsoon and Savage were waxing speculative on Jim Neidhart's heel turn and the implications it had on the Bret/Owen rivalry. Donovan offered a barely-intelligible question, and Monsoon flat-out pretended Donovan wasn't even there, continuing his disgusted diatribe for Savage and the home audience.
