The stories of Kurt Angle's toughness sometimes reach Chuck Norris-like levels. He's won gold medals with a broken freakin' neck, you know. He worked a grueling match at WrestleMania 19 while in dire need of spinal surgery. Few would ever dare question Angle's resolve.

The 2001 King of the Ring opened with a semi-final match pitting Team ECK allies Angle and Christian, a bout that Angle would end up winning. As a result, the defending King would have to perform in two more matches that night: the final round with Edge, and an unrelated street fight with Shane McMahon.

That monumental task was made harder when Angle sustained a concussion during the match with Christian, bonking his head on the canvas while executing an overhead suplex. It's a testament to Angle's skill and determination that nothing from the remainder of his night appeared to be anything resembling an uphill battle.
