When one looks back wistfully at the unvarnished chaos of mid-nineties ECW, they come across one of the great mismatched personality tag teams: brooding, controlling Raven, and hyperactively-clueless Stevie Richards. The two held the company's Tag Team belts on two occasions, and then feuded briefly at the onset of 1997, before both left for WCW.

The two would reunite in WWE in a long-forgotten match, losing to The Hardy Boyz on the Sunday Night Heat pre-show just before King of the Ring. Neither man had anything going on at the time, both relegated to winning and losing the Hardcore Championship under the long-since-stale 24/7 rule, in lieu of any meaningful angle.

Raven and Richards at their best vs. The Hardyz at their best could've been a rather enjoyable showing. Instead, it was a six-minute afterthought on a kickoff-show, with the winners hardly in doubt.
