It's unfathomable today for WWE to run a major event while also running a minor house show at the same time. The split-brand eras made it normal for there to be live events while Raw or SmackDown broadcasts on TV, but something like The Royal Rumble? It happened in 1988.

The Rumble took place in Hamilton, ON, at the same time that WWE ran an event in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Canada's eastern seaboard. The main event saw Intercontinental champion The Honky Tonk Man defeat Macho Man Randy Savage by disqualification.

Other notable participants on that card included Brutus Beefcake, Greg Valentine, Ken Patera, Demolition, The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, and Koko B. Ware. Had those ten wrestlers (Savage and Honky included) been in Hamilton that night, we could've had a legit 30-man Rumble, as God intended.
