More than one year after filming the "Barber Shop" angle, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty finally had their first pay-per-view match against one another. The match was for Michaels' IC title, and had the added wrinkle of Sensational Sherri (Michaels' ex-flame) standing in a neutral corner, per Shawn's recent negligence.

The match was a fairly good one, no thanks to the conditions of both men. Michaels admitted to staying out too late the night before the show, and arriving in less-than-optimum shape. Jannetty was no better, and ended up losing his job the following day after being found passed out in the locker room at the Superstars TV tapings.

Jannetty, of course, is notorious for having nine lives, and would be rehired several months later to resume his rivalry with Michaels.
