The effects of the one-minute intervals were clear when one saw just how quickly the eliminations were taking place. Never in any of the previous Rumbles had bodies entered and exited in such a frenzy.

Eleven different wrestlers lasted three minutes or less in the match, and seven of those eleven were fast-tracked out of the Rumble in 25 seconds or less. To put it mildly, this was unprecedented Rumble booking.

Those seven men included Timothy Well (25 seconds), Bushwhacker Butch (19 seconds), Jacob Blu (17 seconds), Bob Backlund (16 seconds), Bushwhacker Luke (12 seconds), and Owen Hart and Mo (three seconds apiece). In the cases of Backlund and Hart, both were attacked by Bret Hart during their entrances, to play off of their interference in the earlier World title match.
