The first half of the Rumble match displayed some really nifty near-eliminations, with the likes of Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, and others hanging onto the ropes, defying gravity in unconventional ways. The kicker was a spot Mysterio used to prevent being eliminated at one juncture.

After Morrison and Miz were eliminated, Rey seemed destined to follow. He ended using both Tag champs as stepping-stones, using them to regain entry without his feet ever touching the floor.

As cool as that sequence was, it was actually the second time it had been done in WWE. The first was at the WrestleMania 24 pre-show battle royal, when Jamie Noble performed that same "the floor is lava, but the bodies aren't" routine. Fewer people remember that spot, so no big deal that Mysterio busted it out where a wider audience would be exposed to it.
