By 27 seconds, the 2011 Royal Rumble trumped its 2002 predecessor with the longest duration of any Rumble match ever. The one hour, nine minutes, and 49 seconds will likely remain unchallenged as the lengthiest of January skirmishes.

The match is actually the second-longest match in WWE history, per most reliable records. The longest took place on Saturday, August 22, 1964, when WWWF Champion Bruno Sammartino went to a draw with challenger Waldo Von Erich at Madison Square Garden. The bout was halted due to a curfew after a reported 81 minutes.

Imagine if Dean Ambrose and Luke Harper had circled the block a few more times during their match at Extreme Rules 2015. They could've unseated Sammartino and Von Erich without even realizing it.
