10 Fascinating WWE Royal Rumble 2012 Facts
2. It Marked Kharma's Only WWE Match
Just a heads up, this is a rather sad entry, so feel free to skip if you wish. When WWE signed the talented and imposing Awesome Kong in late-2010, there existed a high ceiling for someone from such an "anti-Diva" mold. Kharma would debut in the spring of 2011 as an unrelenting force of destruction, furiously assaulting various women's wrestlers.
Shortly after her debut, Kharma was sidelined not by an injury, but by pregnancy. The real-life Kia Stevens took time away to have a baby, and was first reported to have given birth to a boy on New Year's Eve 2011. Four weeks later, she made a surprise appearance in the Rumble match (her WWE in-ring debut), lasting one minute and tossing out Hunico.
Sadly, it was later revealed that Stevens had actually miscarried. The horrifying event would cause Stevens to fall into a deep depression as she dealt with her loss. She would be granted a release from the company later in 2012, making that year's Rumble her only match with the organization.
