The Undertaker's Hell in a Cell match with Edge had the challenge of producing a violent and satisfying conclusion to a feud that had begun more than one year earlier, but without either man bleeding. To compensate, big spots (ones that weren't necessarily a gateway to a blade-job) filled the 27-minute skirmish. Tables, ring-steps, and even the cage wall breaking open (Edge activated the OMG! spot on WWE2K) replaced what probably would've been a gruesome bloodbath before July 22.

Curt Hawkins revealed in a Kayfabe Commentaries interview that prior to the match, Undertaker worked alongside a stunt coordinator that walked him through every spot that would come up. Whether it was Undertaker's idea, or the company's decision (as a way of making everything more "Hollywood") is unknown, but it damn sure didn't hurt the quality of the match.
