10 Fascinating WWE Survivor Series 1995 Facts
7. It Was Bam Bam Bigelow's Final WWE Match
Less than eight months after headlining WrestleMania 11, in which he put Lawrence Taylor over in a match with notable media recognition, Bam Bam Bigelow was gone from the promotion. He lost a short match to still-new Goldust at Survivor Series, and then left WWE rather quietly.
Bigelow hadn't been fond of the idea of losing to Taylor, but the hefty $250,000 payoff for doing so made it easier to rationalize. Outside of 'Mania, 1995 was a rough year for Bigelow, having had his share of run-ins with the Kliq, and later claimed in a shoot that he'd heard that some of the members were talking about jumping him one day. With the exception of Kevin Nash, Bigelow hardly had any kind words for the other members.
Bigelow got his release from McMahon, apparently with more than one year left on his deal. He never returned to the company, not even for a one-off or a legends run, prior to his January 2007 passing.
